Since its inception, Ghafari has been at the forefront of technology, having pioneered 3D building information modeling (BIM) in real project applications. Ghafari is a leader in the industry with over 100 BIM enabled projects to its credit across all delivery approaches and each of its core market sectors. This experience includes more than 30 projects for which we provided architecture / engineering and BIM management services, as well as over 20 projects for which we provided virtual design and construction consulting services. Ghafari’s projects have been recognized with multiple awards and have been the subject of several case studies and industry articles. For Ghafari, 3D BIM is a collaborative method of designing the entire facility with the owner, contractor and subcontractors, resulting in benefits that outweigh traditional delivery methods. For nearly a decade, we have worked with our industrial / manufacturing clients on their digital factory initiatives. Through this experience, we have witnessed firsthand the advantages of combining BIM and lean practices across integrated design / construction value streams, which we have applied to other markets and facility types. The bottom line results are significant improvements to schedule, cost, safety, sustainability, and quality.
