Caterpillar’s Paint Finishing Group teamed with Ghafari to build a paint shop at its large parts fabrication facility. Ghafari designed the appropriate paint and material handling systems for black and yellow parts that range from 30 to 3,500 pounds and prepared detailed packages that enabled Caterpillar to procure the right installation contractor with cost, timing and quality certainties. Additionally, Ghafari's team managed the installation and remained on-site for several weeks after start-up for commissioning, quality control, and training of maintenance and operator groups. Ghafari also provided structural engineering and consulting for sizing and reinforcing of the building steel to properly support conveyor loads.
