Q+A with Bryan Madaleno, Architectural Designer (Dearborn)
How do you describe your job to people outside of the industry?
Everyone thinks I design houses when I tell them what I do but to keep it simple, I tell them I draw buildings for mostly the auto industry.
Why did you decide to become an Architectural Designer?
My interest started in high school with art and drafting classes. Then I went to community college and built houses during that time. After four years of building homes, I transferred to LTU (Lawrence Technological University) and never looked back.
How would you describe life at Ghafari?
Being able to collaborate with great people each day makes life at Ghafari a fun and rewarding space.
What is the most exciting thing that has happened during your time here?
When I got to travel to LaGuardia Airport to scan a couple of American Airlines hangars.
What is a key idea or lesson you have learned while working at Ghafari?
Effective communication and coordination are critical with a team for projects to be successful.
How do you like to spend your free time?
Mostly spending time with my family. We enjoy biking, skiing, hiking, and just spending time outdoors.
