As the only U.S.-headquartered company among the world’s ten largest solar panel manufacturers, First Solar continues to invest and innovate in clean energy solutions on American soil by building a 2.08 million SF manufacturing complex in Lake Township, Ohio.
Early in the construction phase, Ghafari’s engineers worked with the steel fabricator, precast concrete fabricator, and the mechanical piping contractor to develop shop-fabricated, modular pipe rack sections that enabled the piping to be installed sequentially with the structural steel. This creative design solution allowed the contractor to perform work that is normally done at later stages of construction while creating an efficient and safer working environment.
