Overview

NPF Investment Advisors, one of the longest standing privately owned investment firms in Grand Rapids, has been located at the historic Trust Building for over a century. To accommodate their continuous growth, NFP desired a workplace that fosters collaboration and a strong connection among team members, provides comfort, and offers acoustical privacy between workspaces, all in support of their clients, who are hosted at their offices or supported remotely.

A modern design prioritizing comfort and collaboration.

Our team designed a space with improved comfort by focusing on furniture suited to different types of work and with attention to more functionality, including a quiet HVAC system and large-scale windows, which allow for daylight to reach the interior most spaces. The fit-out also includes a welcoming reception lobby, 16 private offices, 20 workstations, a mixed-use hospitality café with team room, a formal executive conference room, and a casual client lounge, along with more staff-centric areas such as a wellness room, breakout spaces for small group collaboration meetings, an updated toilet, and secondary break areas.

With the end-client in mind, the design elements and material selections were curated to complement the architecture for a holistic and modern workplace. Finishes, artwork, and furniture were selected to create a comfortable environment to conduct meetings and create connections.
